What I Would Like My Sammy-man To Know
I've had the distinct HONOR to meet the most loving, caring, GIVING people through our mutual love and respect for the always inspiring Sammy Hagar!! REDHead's are a breed of humans like NO OTHER!! I've been fortunate to be in the presence of quite a few the past year. In January of 2001 I joined the SH-Droolers Club List. Through this list I've made some lasting friendships. In August of 2001 I flew for the FIRST time EVER to California and met some of the girlie's I had only known via email and the telephone---Truly inspiring! We all attended the August 31st Sammy-man show at Konocti and much to my surprise--we were onstage that night!! A TRULY magical night I will NEVER forget. Then I joined the SammyCon List (SammyCon lll in TEXAS.....WOOHOO!!) and I am amazed how everyone works together to not only gather in Sammy-man's name to continue (and start in some cases) the lasting friendships BUT to as Sammy-man says "Give To Live"! It is inspiring to be a part of this wonderful organization and know that the money raised will not only go to the local charity chosen BUT we will continue to Honor the charity close to his heart--The Amigos De Los Nino's! TRULY heartwarming!!
Then In February of 2002 I flew yet AGAIN to California to spend quailty time with my Girlie's and see Sammy-man at Konocti on Sat., February 2nd and Sun., February 3rd. This trip was a little more "Special" because The ~Drooler's~ purchased a *Star* through the International Star Registry in Sammy-man's name. Our Christmas gift to him--"The RED Rocker Sammy Hagar" *Star* up there in the sky--for ETERNITY!!! To be there when he received it was overwhelmingly awesome and I will NEVER, EVER forget that night, Sun., February 3, 2002 for as long as I live. To add to my already WONDERFUL night, I made my way to center stage (where some of my Girlie's were) and handed Sammy-man some yellow/white roses and my Texas shaped sign I made and a little later handed him my banner (which read "Katherine Flew 1600 Miles Just For Her Sammy-Man Kisses") and he wore it during several songs.....WOOHOO.......it was TOTALLY awesome to have my thing's handled lovingly by HIM and in the end I got my banner back!! : )
Thank You be given to Sammy-man--I would have NEVER had the pleasure of meeting and knowing the wonderful people--his REDHead's and ~Drooler's~ had it NOT been for him, his HEART, and his inspiring nature.
